Fashion / Style Books?

Well I wanted to quickly blog about some quick books that may be helpful for you fashion obsessed people like myself.

Book numero uno: Fashion Illustration Flat Drawing by Maite Lafuente and Daniela Santos Quartina

This book would be great for new, aspiring fashion designers.  It has many different flat drawings of different clothing styles.  For example: the wrapover t- shirt, t- shirt with round collar, balloon pants, etc.  This could be very helpful.

Book number two: Style by Lauren Conrad

If you are looking to expand your closet, or need help with different outfits this book would be a very useful source to you.

Last but not least book number three: The TeenVogue Handbook by Razorbill

My personal favorite.  This book is, as it states, "An insider's guide to fashion".  This book has a lot of information about different jobs in the fashion industry.  I would suggest this book to a person that would like to work in the fashion industry later in life.  It also has a list of fashion schools in the back of the book, which I find very helpful.

Orange, lace, and florals... Oh my!

This spring's color is orange!  I have been seeing the color all over the runways for this spring.  So finally out with all those boring, dark winter colors, and hello to some bright colors.  Bergdorf Goodman has declared orange "the color this spring."  Other bloggers call it the "it color".  Orange paired with another color, for example red, would be an amzing way to try the color blocking trend.  FYI- I'm dying to try this trend!  I'm so excited for spring! There is still snow on the ground here in Minnesota. Blah.

Lace is another flirty way to welcome spring with open arms.

Fashion is recycled all the time.  It seems every spring, florals are huge.  Well, the most definitely are very popular this spring.  This is another easy way to embrace spring.  Also keep an eye out for smaller floral prints.  These are going to be huge!
